What You'll Do
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll serve as an important resource for our patients by providing friendly, professional assistance with their billing questions and account needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer incoming multi-line phone calls professionally and courteously.
- Assist patients with billing questions and payment inquiries.
- Process payments securely over the phone.
- Update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Review patient account balances and explain charges.
- Resolve billing concerns and account disputes with empathy and professionalism.
- Work Accounts Receivable to help resolve outstanding balances.
- Navigate the electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain patient confidentiality while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong telephone etiquette and active listening abilities.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to helping others.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office equipment.
- Medical office experience is helpful but not required.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience required.
- Call center experience is preferred.
- Medical office or healthcare experience is a plus.
