What You’ll Do

Track, follow up, and resolve insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
Actively work unpaid, rejected, or suspended claims and credit balances
Research denials and submit appeals with supporting documentation
Audit patient accounts to identify and process refunds when appropriate
Assist patients with billing questions and insurance-related concerns
Identify delinquent accounts and coordinate with collections staff as needed
Stay current on insurance policy updates and communicate changes to relevant teams
Work claims through practice management systems, clearinghouses, and carrier edits
Collaborate with fellow account representatives to balance workloads and meet deadlines
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and financial information
Complete required compliance education and ongoing training
Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 1 year of medical billing or related healthcare experience required
Strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance follow-up
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and phone-based
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems
Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and patient confidentiality
